How can I tell if a Meth lab may be in my neighborhood?
  • Strong chemical smell coming from an area, similar to ammonia, acetone or urine. Containers for chemicals, fuel cans, starter fluid containers, used, usually red stained coffee filters, duct tape, glass containers (usually clear glass) may be laying about.
  • Area around or in structure or vehicle littered with basic chemistry items such as tubing, filters, glassware, countertop electric burners.
  • Discarded gas cans, kerosene, acetone, paint thinner, empty cans of caustic or corrosive household cleaners such as drain cleaner, numerous matchbooks or matches, blister packs of cold medicine.
