Students Taking on Prevention (STOP) is a prevention club sponsored by the
Partnership of Community Resources. One mission of STOP is for Teens to
teach other teens and students about what tobacco use really does to you,
inside and out, that the tobacco companies are reluctant to share.
STOP teens in the middle school level teach tobacco education in the 4th
grade classrooms and teens in the high school level teach to the 9th grade
health classes.
Tobacco companies show us only the “cool people” (NOT!) who smoke, not what
really happens to your mouth, lungs, and other organs including your skin.
How “cool” will it be when you are hauling around an oxygen tank with you
everywhere because of emphysema?
